Located at Podere Pascena, halfway between Sant’Angelo in Colle and Sant’Angelo Scalo, the two small villages on the southern slopes of Montalcino, the cellar known as Ferrero attests to the hard work of Pablo and Claudia, the founders of this winery. After being built in 2002, restoring the old stable, barn, and shed attached to an old house, the wines being crafted by this winery is as loving and pleasant as the mountain weathers.
To ensure refinement and sublime quality this cellar matures its wines in bottles for a few years after aging these in traditional oak casks. This winery believes in delivering delectable liquors infused with healthful materials, as the Sangiovese grapes used to produce an inviting delicacy like Brunello di Montalcino and Brunello di Montalcino Riserva are grown on organic fertilizers and in the vicinity of winter growth of special crops promoting further fertilization. Both Pascena and Montero vineyards enjoy soothing mountainous climate situated 250 meters and 300 meters above sea level, respectively. This estate holds about 14 acres of farming land in total, distributed between Montalcino and Montenero d’Orcia.
