Orlandi Contucci Ponno vineyards are located on the foothills of the Vomano river valley, at only 2 kilometers from the sea and less than 20 from the nearly 3000 mt. Grape quality is garanted by a continuous cycle of vegetation: the thermoregulatory action of the sea and the breezes from the mountains mantain an ideal climate through the all season. The alluvial gravel soil in the vineyards with its calcareous mixture encouraged the choice of Cabernet, Chardonnay and Sauvignon vines imported from France: a blend similar to the most appreciated wines from the Bordeaux area.
The farm also re-evaluate some clones of autoctonous Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grape variety, present in the area since the eighteenth century.
