The Guss wine is made with Merlot grapes coming from low production vineyards, placed where the soils could guarantee the best harvest for this grape variety. Vinified in purity, this Tuscany IGT express a great elegance and freshness at the same time and resume all the peculiarities of this territory. Harvesting is done by hand, to preserve the perfect ripeness of the grape; fermantation happened in tonneaux of 5 hl (of which 80 % new) and lasts about 24 months, interspersed with decanting every 3 months. The permanence in the bottle before selling is at least 12 months.
The resulting bouquet is persistent with notes red berry fruit and underbrush; in mouth Guss is smooth and imposing at the same time: a great balance between structure and freshness.

E: Before tasting Guss, I didn't even know it was possible to produce a structured red (like the ones I love the most) with this fresh touch...
