Made of Aglianico grapes in entirety the magnificence of Taurasi Riserva DOCG is brought forth by Quintodecimo cellar. The grapes are collected manually in boxes of 15 kg loading capacity. Diligent selection is made of the grapes before and after destemming. The softly crushed grapes are fermented for about 20 to 25 days at controlled temperature of 28 to 30 degree Celsius. The fermented liquor then undergoes aging inside new oak barrels for about two years before it is bottled.
The suave Taurasi Riserva DOCG is a luxurious legacy of Quintodecimo cellar situated in the Campania region. Fruits are grown on the volcanic, non-calcareous soil made of falling ashes and pumices in the area of Vigna Grande Cerzito of Mirabella Eclano. The vineyards situating at 460 meters of altitude with a slope of 15% enjoys southern exposure. On well-drained, rough textured, deep turf the yearly production is about 1 kg per vine with the harvesting period being second-third decade of October.
This powerful wine pairs finely with game, red meats and mature cheese while being served at 18 to 20 degree Celsius.
