DESCRIPTION

Eyes:  The Sotsàs Cuvée of Trentino fills the glass with a bright and clear yellow color.

Nose:  This majestic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon Blanc gifts you with an elegant and complex bouquet of aromas and creates a perfect combination of soft fruitiness of gooseberry and earthy notes of herbs with the sensuality of vanilla.

Mouth:  This medium bodied majestic creation inundates you with a creamy softness that is rich in minerality. Its well-balanced features are perfectly complemented by the low acidity and leave a persistent finish in your mouth.

WINEMAKING

The regality that is enjoyed while drinking the supreme creation of Maso Cantanghel cellar is created with the perfect blend of Chardonnay (40%), Pinot Bianco (40%) and Sauvignon Blanc (20%). The grapes having been manually collected from the three different vineyards of three different places in Trentino are gathered in small cases.

The fruits are left for maceration for a few hours after undergoing destemming and crushing in order to infuse the must with maximum aromatic compounds from the seeds and the skins. After subsequent soft pressing the must undergoes fermentation partly in barriques and partly in oak barrels. The Sotsàs Cuvée then matures further on the yeast of fermentation till the summer to add more sublimity to its creation.

HARVEST

The flawless blend of Sotsàs Cuvée is made with three different grapes. The fruits are grown on partly sandy soils of three vineyards, Sarso of Pergine Valsugana for Pinot Bianco, Vigna Caselle of Cembra for Chardonnay and Vigna Cantanghel of Civezzano for Sauvignon Blanc. All the vineyards are situated in Trentino region. The yields from all the vineyards are harvested in the second half of September when the grapes are perfectly ripe.

GASTRONOMIC COMPANIONS: 

The regality of this wine is best enjoyed at the low temperatures of 10 to 12 degree Celsius with main courses of fish and shellfish. It can also be savored with sheep's milk cheeses or second courses of lake-fish or sea-fish.
